Organic Amaranth Seedling

Amaranth (locally known as Green) is a powerhouse of nutrition and one of the easiest crops to grow in the Gambian climate. Our seedlings are raised in organic soil without any chemical fertilizers.

Why Grow Amaranth?

• Fast Growing: You can start harvesting leaves in just a few weeks.
• Nutrient Dense: Rich in Vitamin A, C, and Iron.
• Uses: Use in stir-fries. Commonly used for cooking the local dish called plasas.

Planting Tip: Amaranth does well in partial shade. Space these seedlings about 20cm apart in well-drained soil for the best leaf production. This particular amaranth can grow more than a meter tall and produce large dark nutrient-dense leaves.
